Christiana Goudet's second book, Tarot Tour Guide is one of my favorite books I've ever read.  It's an extremely unique look at using the tarot not only for formal readings, but also for use in spell work, bringing different energies into one's life, and other similar uses.  She also discusses the cards using each of the four elements and how each suit in the minor arcana relate to one of the elements.

The way Gaudet wrote this book it can be used by novices and advanced readers a like.  She writes in a way that is easy to understand yet express more complex ideas as well.  It's organized very well with discussion on tarot in general at the beginning, then descriptions of the cards and finally discussions on the tarot and elemental connections.  One thing I liked very much was how Gaudet makes sure to say that while there are generally accepted meanings for the cards one still must always go on their own instinct for the interpretations on the cards.

Tarot Tour Guide has given a refreshed, unique perspective on using tarot for multiple purposes as well as inspiration for creating my own spreads.  I also enjoy the meditations, visualizations and exercises she gives to help illustrate her points and help the reader understand her unique perspective and the ideas she's putting forth.  For anyone interested in tarot I highly recommend this book.
