There are few people in the alternative spirituality community that haven’t heard of Shakti Gawain. Her book, Creative Visualization, started a trend in spiritually-based self-improvement that has positively impacted thousands of people. Now, 30 years later, New World Library is re-publishing her classic work along with a 60 minute CD of associated meditations and visualizations.

If you have never read Gawain’s work before, then you are in for a special treat. Although the language may be familiar to us now, Gawain’s style and spirit come through clearly as she discusses visualization techniques (including goal-setting, treasure maps, and meditations) but how to work with affirmations, how to clear yourself if the affirmations don’t seem to be working, and the importance of accepting your own good and doing good for others.

This book is an absolute requirement for any person interested in exploring non-therapeutic techniques for developing the self.

Five stars out of five.
