Food is an integral part of our daily life, and many important rituals in our lives are based around food. Rachel Patterson returns with the 23-book Pagan Portals series to help us whip up some magic in the kitchen!

Most of what is described in this book is perfect for general magical practice, rather than focusing on the kitchen witchery part of it. There are parts on using the Moon, candle magic, the different Pagan holidays, working with the elements, and making various types of crafts, like witch bottles. But in reality, aside from “Creating a Sacred Kitchen” and “Magical Gardening”, I didn’t really feel like this book reflected much of the title at all.

That’s not to say you won’t find the book useful…it definitely makes some great points. But honestly, while the information is good, likely you’re going to find most of it other places. Unless you’re brand new to both Pagan magical practices and kitchen witchery, likely you can give this one a pass…unless of course you’re looking for an inexpensive reference to keep in the kitchen.
