Our readers might remember Ms. Shesso’s first book – Math for Mystics, which we enjoyed.  She’s back again with a delightful exploration of the astronomy behind astrology.

Have you ever cast a horoscope without using a computer program? I have, and let me tell you, it’s not a lot of fun. But it is good practice for understanding how the planets inter-relate. Similarly, it is not necessary to know astronomy to be able to use the principles of astrology, but perhaps a little observation of the heavens would come in handy?

Using common, and easy to find, constellations like Orion and the Big Dipper, Shesso orients the reader to other specific constellations and major stars. She tells stories associated with the constellations, and doesn’t stint on illustrations that map the heavens.

Shesso strengthens the value of this book by making it a tool for personal transformation, using the energies of the planets and luminaries. Each chapter ends with assignments that further your understanding of that planets’ attributes.

Highly recommended.
